Funeral Services for Thomas J.
Liddy, of 45 Amherst Street, a charter member of P.N. Lynch council No. 704,
Knights of Columbus, who died yesterday at a local infirmary, will be held
Saturday morning at our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church at an hour to
announced later by McAlister’s.
The Rosary will be recited at
the residence tonight at 8 o’clock by the members of P.N. Lynch council and of
the Fourth-Degree assembly of the Knights of Columbus, and at 9 o’clock by the
Altar Rosary society of Our Lady of Mercy.
Mr. Liddy was a member of these groups.
Mr. Liddy was a native of
Charleston, a son of Thomas J. Liddy and Mrs. Catherina Egan Liddy, both of
Ireland. He was educated in the local
schools. He was a treasurer emeritus of
the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his widow, the
former Miss Mary E. Berry; two sons. Thomas J. Liddy Jr., of the Crescent, and
Lieutenant James J. Liddy, U.S. Navy, and several nieces and nephews.

Sothell Ave., Byrnes Downs, widow of Thomas J. Liddy died yesterday at her
residence.
Funeral services will take
place Saturday at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church at a time to be
announced by McAlister’s.
A native of Charleston, Mrs.
Liddy was the daughter of James Berry
and Mrs. Bridgett Wallace Berry. She was
member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons. Thomas
J. Liddy of Charleston and Cmdr. James J. Liddy of San Francisco, Calif.; a
sister, Miss Catherine Berry of Charleston; two granddaughters and several
nieces and nephews.

production manager.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Louise Molony Liddy; two daughters, Miss Rita L. Liddy of Washington, D.C. and
Mrs. Claude Baldwin III of Charleston; a brother, Cmdr. James J. Liddy [USN
ret] of Charleston and four grandsons.
