Biography—The Shelby News January 21, 1926 Death of Mrs. Amos Davis. Mrs. Priscilla Davis, died Sunday Morning at her apartment in the home of the Misses Wallace on Washington Street from infirmities of age. Although she had been confined to her bed the greater part of the time during the past three months, the end came suddenly and unexpectedly.

Mrs. Davis was in her seventy-ninth year and was born and lived in the Christiansburg neighborhood until 1904, when she and her husband moved to Shelbyville. Mr. Davis died ten years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving her are two sons, former County Judge Edwin Hume Davis, of this city and William Corley Davis of Christiansburg.

She also leaves three sisters, Mrs Belle Davis of Shelbyville; Mrs Susan Young of Pittsburg Kansas, and Mrs J.C. Thomas of Pleasureville.

Funeral Services were conducted by, the Rev. M.T. Chandler at the Centenary Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 O’clock, with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery.
