Lucy Ann Corley was born December 9, 1944, on a farm two miles of Cropper Shelby County Kentucky. Educated in the public schools and by private tutor, and was married to James Henry Ford March 24, 1864.

She was a rather unusual woman and posed many and varied talents, but she enjoyed domestic work most of all. Ever ready to go to help someone in sickness, distress or death. A wonderful neighbor and a devout church worker in the Baptist Church. Strong Physically, mentally, and spiritually.

She was the mother of twelve children, eight of whom lived to be more than forty years of age or older. View List. She died October 26, 1921 at Shelbyville, Kentucky and was buried in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Here people were Methodist, but she lately affiliated herself with the Baptist Church at Christiansburg Kentucky. She was a great mother and neighbor and was loved by all who knew her. She never failed to answer a call for help.
