KNEW THAT SHE WAS ABOUT TO DIE
MRS. Brown had Premonition
Several Days Before Last Sickness Began.
MOSCOW, IDAHO, AUG 5—The
Funeral of Mrs. Henrietta Brown, wife of E.N. Brown, Occurred yesterday from
the Presbyterian church, of which she was member. It was one of the largest funerals ever
witnessed in Moscow. The body was viewed
at the family residence by friends and relatives from1 till 2:30 O’clock,
during which time hundreds paid their respects.
The large church was crowded beyond
its capacity. The members of the Elks lodge
attended as individuals in large numbers on account of Mr. Brown being an
active member and Mrs. Brown having on numerous occasions entertained
them. Several Elks from Pullman also
attended.
A peculiar fact of her death
is that on the 11th of last July, 10 days before Mrs. Brown was
taken sick and while yet about town as usual, she wrote a letter to her mother
and friends, in which gave directions of for the disposition of her estate and
particulars of her funeral arrangement,
going into the most minute details. During
her sickness she informed her mother that she had presentment of her
approaching death, and told her where to
find the letter and to open it after her death.

three years ago to a day from her funeral, and her father in law, C.O. Brown,

DEAR MS ROOK--
Thank you so much for sending the great
genealogy of the Brink/Ryrie/Watkins families,
working from the early 19th century down to the present Brinks. What a lot of work and what a lot of
information!
My parents were actually married in
Wisconsin in Sawyer County south of Hayward on the bank of Lake Windigo, then
called Bass Lake . This was the Brink
summer home and still is, although the buildings have changed. It is possible that, after their honeymoon
spent camping on Lake Vermilion, they registered their marriage in Minneapolis,
which became their home for the next
forty years
Did you send a copy of this material to my
sister Nora? If not, I will do so, as it certainly should be kept
with the records of both our families.
Don't know how to thank you enough. Perhaps you can tell me.
Sincerely,
Dave Brink
