Death Mrs. Oressa L. George

Committal services for Mrs. Oressa L. George, a former missionary and for many years supervisor of Hasseltine House at Newton Centre, will be held at 2 P.M. today in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.  Funeral services will precede at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William W. Chace, of 64 Mooreland Ave, Edgewood, R.I., where died on Wednesday, aged 83.

During her lifetime Mrs. George prominently identified with Baptist missionary interests and for 17 years she and her husband, the late Rev, William W. George, were missionaries in Burman, India, returning to this country in 1886 on account of Mr. George’s health.  She is survived by four children, Frank E. George of San Francisco, Cal; Mrs. William W. Chace of Ridgewood, R.I.; Harry A. George of Melrose and Mrs. Elinor T. Waterman of Framingham.

Harry Allan George

Funeral Services for Harry Allan George 48, who died suddenly Friday, will be held at his home, 60 Laurel Street, Melrose, this afternoon at 3 O’clock.  Born in Amherst, N.S., Mr. George, graduated from Harvard with the class of 1900 and was graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1902. He was construction Engineer for Boston University at the time of his death.

More than 20 years ago he was married to Miss Demetria Simmons of Newton Centre, who survives him along with a daughter.  Mary Elizabeth George, & son, Harry Allan George Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. William W. Chace of Providence, R.I. and Mrs. Herbert L. Waterman of Framingham.

He was a member of the Wyoming Lodge Masons.
