EMINENCE Services for Gerald Ransdell Bohannon, 70, Eminence, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. He died Monday in his home. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery.

EMINENCE Services for Gerald Ransdell Bohannon, 70, Eminence, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.

He died Monday in his home. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery. A native of Shelby County, he was a farmer and a member of Cropper Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dottie Nolan Bohannon, Eminence; a son, Gerald Ray, Eminence; a daughter,Deborah L. Bohannon, Eminence; three sisters, Catherine Woods, Louisville, Shirley Chisholm and Barbara Adams, both of Frankfort; three brothers, Ronald Bohannon, Eminence, Julian Bohannon, Shelbyville, and Leland Bohannon, Louisville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Luther Thomas and Willie Belle Thompson Bohannon.He also was preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Lynn Bohannon and Kathy Diana Bohannon; a son, Ricky Allen Bohannon; and a brother, Leon Thomas Bohannon. The Revs. Herb Slaughter and Michael Duncan will officiate. Bearers will be David Lee Case, Paul A. Case, Jerry Powell, Harrison Robinson, Alva Robinsonand Logan Ray Nolan. Honorary bearers will be Paul T. Case, William Way, Gary Beckstrom, Larry Powelland Walter Thompson. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Louisville.
