king George VI, wearing the Uniform of an admiral of the fleet, is seen here as he opened the new National Maritime Museum at Greenwich, England, which houses a fine collection of Marine paintings, early instruments of navigation and accurate models showing the evolution of the British Man O' War.  Seated, left to right are Sir Samuel Hoare, first lord of the admiralty; Princess Elizabeth , heir presumptive to the throne; Queen Elizabeth [Queen Mother] and Queen Mary.
