At her home in Orbitello, Kansas, Jan. 3, 1888, Rozena Hoyt, wife
of Samuel Bloomfield. She was born Nov. 12, 1839, in Meigs County, Ohio. At an
early age she united with the Church of Christ and was always very earnest and
active in serving her Master. By her first marriage she had three sons, C.L.C.,
Eli and Ellsworth Robinson. She came to Kansas in 1871 and was married to Samuel
Bloomfield Feb. 14, 1872. She made home happy. George Fredrick and Charles
Hadden Bloomfield were the children of her second marriage. The last four years
of her life she suffered greatly, but God gave her grace to rejoice in Him in
her greatest pain. So thoughtful was she for the comfort of others that she
would forget her own sufferings in thinking of her family. She made many
friends, who more than filled the school house in Orbitello at her funeral.
They wept as they saw their loved one, who had so often comforted and counseled
them and ministered to their necessities, now lying cold in her coffin.

Eli Robinson 83, died today at
the family home three miles northeast of Nampa.
He had been a resident Here for the past 32 years
Born on September 5, 1857, in
Chester, Ohio, he came here from Lincoln, Nebraska in 1908. He was an active member of the Nampa Seventh
Day Adventist Church.
In addition to his wife Anna
E. Robinson. He is survived by a daughter.
Mrs. Jose Bosch of Salina Kansas., and Omar Robinson of Wichita, Kans.,
a son, six grandchildren.
Funeral Services are
tentatively arranged at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Talley’s Chapel, which is in
charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY:
C.M. Robinson dies of Heart Attack
Following a slight illness,
Cassius Martin Robinson died at his home some time either Saturday evening or
early Sunday morning. He lived in a small house near his son, Ray Robinson and
when Mr. Robinson called at the house to see his father Sunday morning, he
found he had passed away from a heart attack.
Mr. Robinson was a native of
Ohio, but had been a resident of Anacortes for the past 40 years. He was a carpenter by trade, until his health
necessitated a cessation of that work.
He is survived by two
daughters Mrs. C.B. Lancaster of Rose City, Oregon and Miss Edna Robinson of
Portland, Oregon; two sons, Don Robinson of Oakland, California, and Ray R.
Robinson of this city. Also two brothers,
one in Kansas and one in Idaho.
Funeral Services were held
from the Haugen Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 O’ Clock, with Rev J.C. Reed
of the Presbyterian Church officiating.

From Working on Farm Near Council Grove as Young Man Mr. Robinson
Rose To Influential Place in Kansas Business
C. E. Robinson, 78, prominent grain man, founder and president of
the Robinson Milling Company, died Sunday at Asbury Hospital from a heart ailment.
He came to Kansas in 1880, working first on a farm near Council Grove. In 1887
he moved to Sylvan Grove and lived there until coming to Salina in 1911, where
he organized and built the Robinson mill in 1918 and 1919, completing the mill
in the latter year. Among his civic and social activities he was first
president of the Salina Country Club, held a senior division Kansas golf
championship, and membership in the Masonic Lodge. For a time he owned a
hardware store in Lincoln, and was also a well-known farmer and stockman,
owning several farms in this territory. He was born July 23, 1862 in Chester,
Ohio.
Mr. Robinson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ed Morgenstern,
wife of Salina's mayor, Mrs. A. F. Pyle, and Mrs. R. W. Campbell, all of
Salina. A son, H. L. Robinson lives in Kansas City, and a brother Eli Robinson,
in Nampa, Idaho.
Mrs. Robinson died two years ago last April. Mr. Robinson had been
ill a long time and from last March had been a patient in St. Luke's Hospital
in Kansas City until August, when he was brought to Salina.
Funeral Held Tuesday
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in the First
Methodist Church, of which Mr. Robinson was a member. Rev. Herbert Jackson Root
will be in charge of the service.
Pallbearers will be Richard Morgenstern, M. L. Gear, Kansas City,
Mo., M. J. Watkins, E. C. Wyatt, Carl Prescott, and Blaine Miller, Honorary
pallbearers will be Frank Hageman, C. W. Lamer, I. A. Pribble, O.L. Lovan,
Henry Eberhardt and Robert Campbell, Wichita, all old friends and business
associates of the deceased.
The body will lie in
state at the Rush Smith Funeral Home until one hour before the service, when it
will be taken to the church. Entombment will be in Hillcrest mausoleum in
Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Milling Company, Salina Kansas This is an illustrated letter head from the now
closed flour mill "The Robinson Milling Company, Salina Kansas" from
December 9, 1920. The illustration is of their warehouse and grain elevators
located on the corner of 9th, and North Street Salina Kansas. There are also
two illustrated automobile, and two train cars. On either side of that main
illustration are representations of two of their products. "Robin's Best Flour"
which has a drawing of a bird on a branch, and "Betty Jane Flour"
which has a girl swinging on a swing, attached to a tree branch. In visible
light, the watermark on the paper cannot be seen. But if it is held up to the
light, it shows the words "Public Service Bond" and a number. I also
included a photograph that I took of the same location on June 01, 2015. Nearly
95 years after this letter was dated.

Found in a kneeling posture at
the side of her bed Monday morning at 5 O’clock by her brother, Frank, with
whom she made her home on Maplewood Avenue, Miss Eliza J. Christopher had
passed away some time during the night from pneumonia, suddenly and
unexpectedly.
The deceased was 68 years of
age and constitution was not strong enough to resist the changeable weather of
the past week, her condition was at no time regarded as alarming. On Sunday,
She complained but little and ate three hearty meals. Consequently her death
came as a shock to her brothers and friends.
Miss Christopher lived for 50
years at the home of C.A. Young on the Gambler road. Only in recent year had she been residing
with her brother. Frank. In addition to Frank, there are two other
brothers, John, of this city, and Edward
of Columbus. The Funeral Wednesday morning at 10:30 McCormick’s Chapel on South
Main Street.

Sarah Christopher, formerly of
this city, died at the Knox County Infirmity at 4:30 O’clock Wednesday morning,
after a several months’ illness of heart trouble. The deceased was very well known in this
City, having been employed as a maid by various families for a long intervals
of time. She is survived by two brothers, John, of Columbus and Edward of Mt.
Vernon, and one sister Eliza, of this City.
The Funeral Thursday afternoon
at 2:30 O’clock in McCormick’s Chapel on South Main Street, Rev. Ira J. Houston Officiating. Interment in Mound View Cemetery.

GEORGE CHRISTOPHER DIES SUDDENLY AT PITTSBURGH PLATE GLASS PLANT
George Franklin
Christopher, aged 56 [67], residing at 205 Greenwood Avenue, dropped dead at
8:30 Thursday morning at the factory of the Pittsburgh Paite Glass Co., where he was employed.
Christopher was
employed at a laborer about the factory and was engaged in hauling some ice
into the factory when he pitch forward across a whellbarrow. Dr. S. E. Deeley, who was immediately called,
stated his death was due to internal hemorrhages, which caused heart
failure. Christopher had been an
employee of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. for a number of years. The body was removed to Miller & O’Bryan
Undertaking establishment and later to the family residence.
