. DIES IN FT WAYNE
William H. Uhlenhake, age 79, former resident of
Hamilton, died at his home, Fort Wayne, Ind., Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Uhlenhake, first Wife Addie Uhlenhake, died 15, years
age. He married Mrs. Irene Cook, also of
Hamilton, who survives, with one foster daughter, Miss Peggy Cook, and two
daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schellenbach, and Mrs. George Heuschen, five
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Fort Wayne.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday afternoon at Crescent Avenue
Evangelical Church with internment in Lindenwood, Cemetery, Fort Wayne

Mrs. Sophia Wockner Wiechelt, age 80 Widow of [Fred Woeckener 1st Husband] 421 Lockwood, avenue, died at 2:30 o’clock Monday morning in Mercy Hospital, Complications resulting from a fractured hip suffered in a fall three weeks ago caused her death.
She was born in Newport, Ky., on October 23, 1859. He Husband, [Christian Wiechelt, died in 1937. Second Husband]
A life-Long member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, she had been a regular attendant at its services. And belonged to its Ladies Aid society.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Berdine Anderson, of Hamilton, one grandchild, one great grand child; three sisters, Mrs. Lisetta Hilgenman. Mrs. Chistine Flickinger and Mrs. Cather Schlauldroff, all of Fort Wayne, Ind., and one brother, Henry Uhlenhake, also Fort Wayne.
Funeral Services Will beheld Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 O’clock in the Griesmer-Grim Funeral home, 422 North Second Street, and at 2 o’clock in the St Paul’s Evangelical church, with Rev William Vollbrecht pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood. Friends may call after Tuesday noon.

Henry Uhlenhake, Nickle Plate
engine crew caller, is taking a couple of days off duty to celebrate his silver
wedding anniversary [April 25, 1888]. Twenty-Five years ago, yesterday Mr.
Unlenhake and Miss Sophia Schmidt were married. Rev. Schaaf, of St. John’s
Reformed Church performing the ceremony, and last night they celebrated by
entertaining some of their relatives and friend at their home, 2216 California
avenue. They have one daughter, Mrs.
C.J. Hessert, who with her husband resides with Mr. and Mrs. Unlehake. When he was married Mr. Uhlenhake was working
in the Keri Murray works, but he resigned the following June and took
employment as a brakeman on the Nickel Plate and with exception of a few months
remained steadily in the service. He
lost a hand while a brakeman over twenty years ago. C.C. Hennessey, of the roundhouse, is calling
crews while Mr. Uhlenhale is away.
