Mrs. Georgia Lacy Lane 81,
former Toledo resident died Thursday in the home of her Son Mr. Everett Lane,
Grand Rapids Michigan, according to word received here today.
A resident of Toledo most of
her life, Mrs. Lane left here? Years ago to make her home with the son. She was the wife of the late R.H. Lane, who
for many years operated the Lane Shoe Co., a wholesale concern at one to time
located in St. Clair St., near Monroe St. Mr. Lane died in 1928.
Mr. Lane at one time was
president of Toledo YWCA, Regent of the Fort Industry Chapter, and Daughters of
the American Revolution, one of the founders and former president of the
Emerson Class, and former president of Samagama and the Mayflower Society...
Survivors besides the son,
Everett are other Sons, Herbert, New York City, and James, Lakeland, Michigan;
nieces, Mrs. Donald Chaffee, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Edward Ludwig, Oak
Park, Michigan, nephew, Domestic Relations Judge Paul W. Alexander, Toledo two
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body will be brought to
Toledo for burial tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery. The REV. Ben F.
Garmer of the First Baptist Church, will officiate at graveside services.

Herbert George Lane, 60, of
Garden City, N.Y., Formerly of Toledo, died Sunday in Columbus Hospital, New
York City.
Mr. Lane was a son of the Robert
H. Lane, who operated the a wholesale shoe business here many years until his
death in the mid-1920’s.
His mother, Georgia, was once
a prominent club woman, and president of the YWCA here.
A University of Pennsylvania
graduate, Mr. Lane Lived in New York area about 40 years. He was employed by
Oxford Filing & Supply Co., New York City.
He is survived by a sister
Mrs. Cornelia Anderson, Madison, N.C.; brothers James C., Lakeland Michigan.,
and Everett H., of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The body will be in the Walter
Mortuary after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
Graveside rites in Woodlawn Cemetery will be at 2 p.m. Friday.
