Charlotte Kathern Sallie Barnhill - 1918-2008
Charlotte Kathern Sallie Barnhill, 89, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with her Lord on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.She was born May 17, 1918, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Richard and Cecilia Gosney Sallie.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church.Preceding her in death were her husband, James Wallace Barnhill, in December 2007; three sisters, Minnie Dickens, Mable Evans and Lorraine Locke; and four brothers, Mitchell, Leslie, Charlie and Dee Sallie.
.Her survivors include four daughters, Frances (James E.) Barnhill of Grayson, Janet (Joe) Sweeney of Olive Hill, Ky., and Karen (Bob) Gee and Connie (Tim) Blevins, all of Grayson; a brother, Ben Sallie of Grayson; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by ministers Sheldon Wheeler and Ronnie Blevins.
Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Condolences may be sent to www.malonefuneralhome.com.
