The man who Shot Liberty Valance Gene Pitney
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDN4L7cAQf0

Lyrics

When Liberty Valance rode to town the womenfolk would hide, they'd hideWhen Liberty Valance walked around the men would step aside'cause the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understoodWhen it came to shootin' straight and fast---he was mighty good.

>From out of the East a stranger came, a law book in his hand, a manThe kind of a man the West would need to tame a troubled land'cause the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understoodWhen it came to shootin' straight and fast---

he was mighty good. Many a man would face his gun and many a man would fallThe man who shot Liberty Valance, he shot Liberty ValanceHe was the bravest of them all.

The love of a girl can make a man stay on when he should go, stay onJust tryin' to build a peaceful life where love is free to growBut the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understoodWhen the final showdown came at last, a law book was no good.

Alone and afraid she prayed that he'd return that fateful night, aww that nightWhen nothin' she said could keep her man from goin' out to fight>From the moment a girl gets to be full-grown the very first thing she learnsWhen two men go out to face each other only one retur-r-r-nsEveryone heard two shots ring out, a shot made Liberty fall

The man who shot Liberty Valance, he shot Liberty ValanceHe was the bravest of them all.The man who shot Liberty Valance, he shot Liberty ValanceHe was the bravest of them all.

Lyrics

I was born one mornin' when the sun didn't shinePicked up my shovel and I walked to the mineI hauled Sixteen Tons of number 9 coalAnd the store boss said,

""Well, bless my soul""(Chorus:)You haul Sixteen Tons, whadaya getAnother day older and deeper in debtSaint Peter don't you call me cause I can't goI owe my soul to the company store

Repeat ChorusBorn one morning it was drizzl'n rainFightin' and Trouble are my middle name

I was raised in a canebrake by an old mama lion

And no high-toned woman make me walk the line

Repeat ChorusSee me comin' better step aside

A lot of men didn't and a lot of men diedI got one fist of iron and the other of steelAnd if the right one don't get ya, the left one will

Repeat Chorus

Born one mornin' when the sun didn't shinePicked up my shovel and I walked to the mineI hauled Sixteen Tons of number 9 coalAnd the store boss said, ""Well, bless my soul""

What it means to Blog

What it means to blog?
When I blog, I blog about things I enjoy. It also means responsibility. That means I am careful what I blog about. I also keep my blog clean. I also don't use if for a forum. Especially for my personal views about religion, politics sexual orientation, explicit material or anything that causes hard feeling.
I want to have a family friendly blog and in the simplest forum. I want people to view my blog with out getting their feelings hurt or mad at opinion I may have. I keep those to myself.
I often get people who want to place advertisments in my blog and I say no. Why because I tell them if they place something that is not of truth or filthy in my blog, I would be truly upset. I don't want anyone to be harmed. I also don't place negative comments in my blog either especially loaded with dirty words. My blog is curse word free.
Having a blog, means I have a right to free speech. However, I am responsible for what is in my blog. The words and the content. That means I keep it straight and honest. People need to know that their children, family and friends can view my blog that is free of personal views that causes hardship.
I am not the voice for causes or the any one organization. I am just a voice to the simplest thing in life. Yes I love doing genealogy and the information is sourced. I do not want to be a poster for peoples problems.
I just want to blog about simple life and what I do.

James William Barnhill
Basic Genealogy Outline
La Grange Oldham County Kentucky
Manhattan New York
Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887,
Oldham Co.

JAMES W. BARNHILL was born in Oldham County, January 23, 1847, and is a son of Hiram and Margaret (Boyd) Barnhill, the latter a native of Shelby County, Ky. Hiram Barnhill was born in North Carolina in 1818, and came to Kentucky with his father, William, who settled in the southern part of Oldham County, participated in the battle of New Orleans, from which field he walked home. The wife of William Barnhill, and grandmother of James W. Barnhill, was a Miss Ruth Boone, who was a native of North Carolina and a cousin of Daniel Boone. James W. Barnhill was reared on the home farm, and was educated at LaGrange. In 1885 he entered into partnership with George V. Barnhill, and established the LaGrange Woolen-mills. George V. died
August 28, 1886, and in March, 1887, Col. Charles C. Haelfling and Newton W. Ladd took his half interest. These mills have a working capacity of 115 pounds of wool a day, and employ eleven hands, the capital stock being about $4,500. In May, 1876, Mr. Barnhill married Miss Julia McWilliams, of Shelby County, daughter of Samuel and Martha A. McWilliams, and of the chil-dren born to this union five are living: Paul, Estelle, Katie, John D. and William Roy. Mr. Barnhill is still engaged in agricultural pursuits, and owns a farm of 110 acres between LaGrange and Ballardsville.
