April 3, 1932 Miss Marion Anderson, daughter of the Novelist, Sherwood
Anderson, and of Mrs. Cornelia Anderson of Michigan City, the novelist’s first
wife, became the bride of Russell Mayo Spear in North Amherst, Mass.,
yesterday. Mr. Spear is the son of Henry
A. Spear of North Amherst.
The ceremony was read by the REV Byron [Spear][ Gustin], an
Uncle of the Bride Groom. Mrs. Anderson
and Henry Spear were the only attendants.
The bride formerly attended the University of Chicago. Mr. Spear is a graduate of Amherst College.
