Death of An Old Resident
Mrs. Margaret Beard McNutt Garrison Called Away Thursday Night.
Mrs. Margaret B. Garrison wife of S. Y. Garrison, of Auburn township died at 12 O’clock Thursday Night, at her residence southwest of the city.  The funeral services were held yesterday, and were conducted by Rev. Biggs.

Mrs. Garrison were born in Park [Scott] County Kentucky, in 1803, and was consequently 79 years of age.  She removed to Shawnee County with her husband in 1858, from Michigan, and resided here continually since that time.  She had been married to Mr. Garrison for 53 years.

Mrs. Garrison had been sick for some time and her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Allen of Wichita, was with her until Thursday afternoon, when, her mother’s condition seeming to be decidedly improved, she returned home, not dreaming that death would call her parent so soon.  Mrs. Garrison was highly esteemed by many friends she had made during her long residence in the country and the tidings of her death will received with sadness
